5 new wardrobe pieces
I really try to keep the spending to a minimum while being in San Francisco, unusual for me! But I'm conscious of saving money. That being said, I've allowed myself a few treats, aa couple bargains in the post christmas sales and a top I couldn't resist.
1. Polka dot ruffle blouse
I got this top for $10 in H&M just before christmas as a last attempt to get something new for christmas day. I thought it was a bargain and liked it a lot but didn't thing it was special enough for christmas day. Alas I didn't find anything else and stuck with it, turns out I actually really love it and felt comfortable in it all day. I'm loving anything with a ruffle at the moment, and the exaggerated sleeves are always a winner in my book. I feel it can be smart or casual and I can't wait for it to get a bit warmer to pair it with a leather jacket and white trainers.
2. Split bell sleeve top with ties
I picked this top up the other day in target, not in the sale but irresistible all the same. It is acutally a part of the 'WhoWhatWear' & Target collections, which I was actually really unaware of but am really intrigued about now. I fell in love with the sleeves, and liked the simple shape. I saw it, loved it then when on with my food shop. But I'll definitely be checking out the rest of the collection.
3. Ankle flare black jeans
Doing a bit of representing here, these where the first item of clothing I bought from Old Navy since starting work there. I was looking for a new pair of black jeans and came across this cute pair. Not my usual straight leg pair but different was definitely the way to go. I've worn them nonstop and really like the new shape on me. I've always been a fan of the awkward length jean, and the raw hem just complete with quirky style.
4. Khaki blanket scarf
Technically not a new purchase, actually a posted christmas present from my parents, but I'm loving this new addition to my wardrobe and this piece definitely takes the prize for most worn piece. I'm really getting into khaki recently and the fact its so soft makes the morning commute that little bit more bearable!
5. Leopard print pumps with ballet tie
Probably by best purchase while being in SF, but yet to be worn...oops! I happened upon these super cute pumps in Zara post christmas and was actually on the hunt for some leopard print flats. Once I saw they $19.99 I had to get! Like I said, I'm yet to wear but in all fairness the weather hasn't been great. As soon as that sun is out through...
