Autumn has officially begun, and I couldn’t be happier. Well, I definitely could… as I was meant to be spending ‘Fall’ in California this year (dream of dreams) but I guess I’ll stick with Hull for now, which is lovely in its own right.
The ‘crisp brown leaves’ and ‘pumpkin carving’ season isn’t in full swing yet but with the weather getting decidedly cooler I had to get this Khaki jacket from Zara to add to my Autumn wardrobe.
£59.99 wasn’t cheap for something that definitely won’t be keeping you warm in winter but with the highly unreliably and unpredictable weather in the UK, lightweight jackets are always needed to take us from Spring-Summer and from Summer-Autumn. This one is fully lined, nice deep pockets, comes with a belt (as you can see I ditched that) ,comes it two other colours and I’d highly recommend.
I came up with a look that would easily go from day to night by switching out the shoes and bag. I’m all about my navy and black combinations, and of course Khaki fits right in.
There isn’t a close up shot of my flat shoes, but you’ll soon come to learn when it comes to shoes, for me, the manlier the better. They’ll be making many appearances on here. Chunky, black and these have a particularly nice faux ‘pony skin’ detail on the top. I got them a while ago from Mango but these smart brogue style shoes are everywhere.
Can’t beat a simple pair of black jeans that lovingly go with my new black Zara chain bag. A belated Graduation gift to myself and my utter true love. This bag could easily go day to night but instead with teamed these black boots with a small jaeger clutch bag, which was a present from my friend Laura for my birthday. Cut all the inessentials you carry around with you and opt for a more streamline accessories. These 70’s inspired, tortoise-shell-heeled boots where calling out and me and I just couldn’t leave them behind. A steal at £24.99.
Shout out to my long time friend Violet for taking these photos for me and letting me in on some blogging gems, Thank you! Her Beautiful blog here.
